“ The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It’s the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows & the beauty of a woman only grows with passing years.”
Come On, Vogue
Anna Wintour has a complete set of Vogue covers leather bound in her personal library. For the less fortunate, online is the place to go.
Vogue.com subscribes are able to search the full collection of magazine covers via the company’s online archive…which is mobile optimized as well.
If you don’t have an account with Vogue, the comic book treasure trove, coverbrowser.com, is an unexpected alternative. The Vogue archive is surprisingly well stocked and dates back to 1916.
My favorite is this iconic 1957 cover by renowned fashion photographer, Norman Parkinson. It’s titled “Autumn Fuchsia” and features none other than Audrey Hepburn. Naturally, I have a replica framed in room.
